Next came the Extension Disc for the tractor. The apple trees were so big with low branches the tractor could not get close enough to do a good job of discing. This disc enabled the tractor to drive down the center of the row and disc both sides. If you notice

the shadow in the right corner of the picture is of a curious horse back rider wondering what this strange looking machine was.

It was adjustable to allow for different row widths, from the wide planted apple orchards to the narrow vineyards.
