Hello i purchased a BO lindeman crawler serial number 336566 from william engelmann in 2022 and wondered if you still do certificates and have any more information on my crawler.
I live in the United Kingdom and do no it know if that would be of any hinderance to you sending a certificate(if you still do them)
Interested in speaking with someone who has replaced grease seals between final drive and clutch housing and between clutch housing and transmission case before I tear into it. Advice appreciated. Thanks
I wanted to update the serial number list for a BO Lindeman I purchased over 15 years ago in Spokane WA. Now in Durham North Carolina
Serial Number 335856
Just starting to restore the tractor, Water getting into oil, and I think coming from the head. Want to talk with someone who has replaced the push rod tubes in the head. Any help appreciated.
Thank you for the update. I have never replaced the water tubes myself but if you go to facebook JD Lindeman Crawler Page @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/938009582948460/ and post the question I am sure someone will be able to answer it. Also if you send me your mailing address to li********@ya***.com
I will send you any information on a certificate of registration along with a DVD of the Lindeman story and beyond.
Hi there, what a nice site about the Lindeman crawlers.
I,ll would like to give you my serial numbers from the Lindeman crawlers that I own in my colection.
First is the 335905 and the other is 336785.
Hope you enjoy it !
Thanks Frank, Yes I do enjoy the information on two more serial numbers that I didn’t have. Please send me your mailing address to li********@ya***.com
and I will send you a certificate of registration with any information I have on them, also a DVD of the Lindeman Story and Beyond at no cost for shearing your information with me.
I was wondering if anyone still makes rubber track pads for lindemans? I have seen them once before 10 years ago and have been looking ever since. Any input is greatly appreciated. I have SN#337290 if that helps at all.
Hi Ethan;
I am trying to find the info I have on the rubber pads. When I was back East with my brother in 2004 we stoped at Bill and Bobbie Kettlehuts and from what I can remember the rubber tracks had a chevron (V) shape to them. Is that what you are talking about?
Hello.
Can you determine the serial number of a Lindeman tractor if the Data plate is missing. It has a third Generation back plate. Other than that how can it be narrowed down.
Sorry to say but there is no way to tell for sure because there are almost 1600 possibilities. Don’t let that stop you. If you will send me your mailing address I will add you to the registry as one without a number and send you a DVD of the Lindeman Story and Beyond.
Hey there, I’m not a Lindeman collector but I admire these machines! In fact, I am one of thousands of people who love all makes and models of farming equipment and marvel at the engineering that went into them. Thanks for your effort to keep the memory of this company alive.
You wouldn’t happen to have a list of serial numbers available that would tell me if my MC no. 10022 was assembled at the Lindeman plant and also if anyone would know the serial no. of the oldest MC that is still in operation.
Sorry Eric but I have no records of the MC crawlers. With that low of a serial number I would think it was assembled at the Lindeman plant here in Yakima. You could check with the Two-Cylinder magazine, they are able to access the JD archives and find out for you. As for the oldest one in operation I would think yours is sure in the running. Sorry I could not be of more help.
Hi John and welcome to becoming a Lindeman owner. First off please send me your serial # along with your mailing address and I will in return send you a certificate with any information I have on your Crawler and a DVD of the Lindeman Story and Beyond. Send it to li********@ya***.com
There are no kits around that I know of. What I think you will have to do is find a BO with the starter and get it along with the flywheel, then find someone that has a Electric Start Lindeman and talk them into letting you barrow TE67 Cross Member Bushing and have one cast at a local foundry. One place you could start looking is with Lavoy Wilcox @ http://www.jdcrawlers.com or ll******@ea*******.net
Hi Ted! I love your website. I have a Lindeman that is in need of a few parts. I was told a gentleman that used to have a very large collection of Lindeman’s might still have some parts. Could you possibly email me his contact info? Thank you so much!
Hi Josh; His name is Bob Smythe, but the last time I talked to him he had very few pars left. Most of the extra parts went with the Lindeman Crawlers when he sold them to Polk a few years back.
There aren’t any of the Thys hop pickers still working but you still see them setting in the unused machinery at some of the hop ranches. There is one at the local Ag museum here in Yakima. You can find a PDF of it on the manuals page and down load it if you would like too. It was quite a machine.
